Saturday night, Mongolia was shocked to hear fourteen people, who on firefighting mission, were killed and eight people found survived in a Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Selenge province on Thursday.
A Beijing-based editor of the Agency France Press (AFP), Karl, called me this morning on the telephone to send more detailed information about the crash by email.
The Prime Minister of Mongolia M. Enkhbold confirmed that 14 firefighters were killed and eight survived in a Russian-made Mi-8 helicopter crash. He came at the State Emergency Agency office in person on Sunday night and made the information to the awaiting relatives of the missing firefighters.
