The UB Post starts printing twice a week

Image The UB Post started printing twice a week from last week. Finally we became Mongolia's semiweekly English language newspaper (There is no English daily newspaper in Mongolia). The UB Post will be available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Subscription cost remain unchanged.

    When it comes to mining laws and agreements, the Mongolian Parliment is the most dysfunctional,irrational group of people I have ever encountered.They have no concept of enormous capital cost and the professional expertise necessary to open and operate a successful mining operation.The owners of the Oyu Tolgoi mining project have spent many years trying to negociate an agreement with the Mongolian government to no avail. Today, I am selling all my shares of Ivanhoe mines as I realize investing in any company dealing with Mongolia is a wasted investment. It is my hope they will eventually be able to sell all their interest to one of your neighbors, China or Russia. They will negociate with Mongolia using the power of their military as a bargaining chip to get what they want and what the Mongolian government deserves.
